Red-Bellied Plover

Small Snezhnayan flying birds named for their feathers.\nRed-Bellied Plovers occasionally call in slow, gentle, and even slightly mournful voices. As such, poets have written of them as singing about someone's tragedies.\nOf course, these are just romantic interpolations by humans. Red-Bellied Plovers are an innocent, even naive sort, agile in flight, and tough to boot. Forests, fruit orchards, and the water's edge can all serve as their habitats. And for this Plover species, there is likely no more critical activity in life than foraging.
