Moonglow Jellyfish

A primitive animal with an exceedingly simple body structure.\nIn the poetry of ancient Fontaine, jellyfish were often paired with butterflies as symbols of the soul. People of bygone times and Remurian philosophers alike embraced this idea: that the soul dwells within the body as a butterfly is born from a caterpillar; that the soul passes endlessly through all waters, or through melody itself, just as a jellyfish grants itself new life at the moment of its own death.\nAs an aside, the followers of the Mistress of Many Waters, later known as the illustrious and noble Lochknights, denounced the Remurian philosophers' views with righteous fury, branding them heresy that had to be cast aside entirely. As for how those views differed from their own beliefs, that was apparently a much deeper matter of principle, and not one to be discussed lightly.
