Late Night Radio Broadcast Script

(Background: Faint static. In the distance, the faint cry of seagulls, mingling with the intermittent sound of waves.) To all you souls wandering at midnight, welcome back to "Jellyfish Night." I'm your host, Mr. Nautilus. The time is 3:13 AM by Arcadia Time, an hour when even shadows are nodding off. (Soft tap on the microphone) Tonight's story comes from a listener known as "The Empty Frame." And oh... word is, it actually happened to a friend of his. Most of you know that famous spot on Seafeld City's northwest coast, right? Yes, the Morningtide Cape, where crowds gather to watch the sunrise. But I'll bet many of you don't know that beneath those cliffs, near the water's edge, there are several caves... the kind you can row a small boat into. Our story tonight takes place there. Mr. Frame's friend, let's call him Mr. A, is an amateur spelunker with a taste for adventure. A few days ago, he arranged with his cousin, Mr. B, to explore the largest cave beneath Morningtide Cape. And then... (A faint, low chuckle) And then... he went mad. They say when the rescue team found him, Mr. A was pacing in circles around a stone pillar near the cave entrance... Completely out of his mind, as if utterly unaware of anyone else's presence. It wasn't until they led him out of the cave that Mr. A gradually regained his senses. But sadly, afterward, he refused to communicate. He just clung tightly to one rescuer's arm, head down, sobbing and trembling endlessly, mumbling something under his breath. And why hasn't Mr. B been mentioned? Because he vanished, of course. Not missing, vanished. The rescue team spent three full days combing every corner of the cave. No trace of Mr. B, no body, not even a sign he'd ever been there. Weird, isn't it? And it gets even weirder. According to the investigation, the two entered the cave in the morning. That night, when their families couldn't reach them, they reported it. The rescue team found Mr. A around midnight. Yet while searching for Mr. B, people discovered that this cave wasn't large at all. Even taking your time, a thorough round trip took no more than three hours... Oh, and one more interesting thing. Mr. Frame added this as a final note in his submission... (A moment of silence, then the sound of knuckles lightly tapping the table) After being rescued, Mr. A kept repeating the same phrase, over and over again: "Don't take me! Take him..." (Background: The gentle lapping of waves on the shore, mingling with faint, intermittent sounds of chewing) Well, that's enough for tonight. Now, coming up next is today's first commercial break— (...)
