The exterior of the flower resembles a strange, stony plant. Only in bloom does it reveal a resplendent, crystal-like core.
It is said that not all Skysplit Gemblooms successfully bloom during their flowering period. Sometimes, the very outer shell meant to protect the plant's inner core may be too rigid, causing the plant to miss its chance to ever blossom. The Collective of Plenty's tribespeople often use the Gembloom as a metaphor, suggesting that one must be patient in their pursuit of strength and avoid pushing themselves too hard, too fast.
