The artificed dancer whirls to a platinum tune, performing an unending waltz of icewind. Coppelius's dance will not stop. He will continue whirling till the bell tolls.
In the original Clockwork Coppelia, Coppelius was the clockwork lady's creator and suitor. These are excerpts from the audience members' recollection:
