It is said that during his time at the Institute of Natural Philosophy, the Lord-Artificer Guillotin created machines that could simulate genuine intelligence.
Though he never openly admitted it, this rumor nonetheless spurred on subsequent generations of ambitious engineers. Decades ago, one of them announced that they had created a machine that not only possessed basic thinking abilities but could also read human emotions, but in the end the results went unacknowledged.

Detailed Tutorial
A machine created from the union between Fontaine's intricate device and special energy technologies. Based on whether it's imbued with ousia or pneuma energy, the machine will operate differently in battle. When either energy is annihilated upon being attacked by its opposite, an Overloaded state will be induced, causing the machine to lose energy and necessitating the use of emergency power to sustain low-end combat actions.
